Prayer Requests

Sharing burdens and blessings with our convention family.

Lifting One Another Up

As part of the Baptist General State Convention of Illinois community, our churches and members are invited to share prayer needs and give thanks for answered prayer. This space reflects our theme, Seasons of Growth: Growing With God Spiritually, encouraging fellowship and support among pastors, church leaders, and congregants.

Prayer requests are received and shared within the convention community as part of our ongoing fellowship. Members are welcome to bring requests forward through their local church or convention contacts.

The convention has also acknowledged moments of loss within its fellowship, including the passing of members recalled in past notices shared with the community. Such remembrances are held in prayer alongside requests for healing, guidance, and strength.

Our Belief and Community

Prayer is central to the life of our churches, guided by shared beliefs outlined on our Our Belief page. Member congregations listed under Our Churches and leaders such as Bro. Milton Taylor are part of this ongoing spiritual fellowship.

Prayer stands at the heart of fellowship within the Baptist General State Convention of Illinois community. As believers walk through seasons of growth together, lifting one another up in prayer reflects the biblical call to bear one another's burdens. Whether celebrating answered prayers, interceding for those facing surgery or illness, or standing alongside families in times of loss, the convention encourages its churches and members to remain connected through this vital spiritual discipline. This practice strengthens the bonds of Christian family across the state, reminding every congregation that no one walks alone in their journey of faith.

The theme of growing spiritually through evangelism reminds us that prayer is not only a personal act but also a communal one that fuels outreach and discipleship. When members bring prayer requests forward through their local churches and convention contacts, they participate in a broader network of intercession that spans pastors, auxiliaries, and lay leaders alike. This shared commitment to prayer nurtures spiritual maturity and deepens relationships among the saints, helping the convention body grow in love, unity, and devotion to God's purposes for the churches of Illinois.
